Meditative Practice
After constructing the base of the house, we can turn to continue building the house body and roof. Similarly, with the stabilized foundational Buddhist knowledge to build the right view, we are able to choose and differentiate the virtuous and proficient navigators in practice. Trust, rely on them and have faith in the triple gem that they represent the Buddha who can instruct, accompany us, and provide a dhamma source most purely. Then, investigate and select the meditative approach and environment appropriate for the personal level to learn and experience with them diligently.
Anyone who develops these four kinds of mindfulness meditation in this way for seven years can expect one of two results: enlightenment in the present life, or if there’s something left over, non-return.
Let alone seven years, anyone who develops these four kinds of mindfulness meditation in this way for six years … five years … four years … three years … two years … one year … seven months … six months … five months … four months … three months … two months … one month … a fortnight … Let alone a fortnight, anyone who develops these four kinds of mindfulness meditation in this way for seven days can expect one of two results: enlightenment in the present life, or if there’s something left over, non-return.

For a person whose mind is concentrated, it is not necessary to think ‘may I know and see things as they really are’. It is the nature of things that a person whose mind is concentrated knows and sees things as they really are.
