Hello, I’m Vạn An, a Vietnamese Buddhist nun. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, I’m a Master’s student in Education at the University of the People, as well as a Chinese Language student at Ho Chi Minh City Open University. Interestingly, I was actually a student in the Chinese Language field over a decade ago. Back then, I left my studies behind to pursue the beautiful path of monastic life. However, as time passed, I came to realize that I didn’t have to give up one beautiful thing for another. As a result, at nearly 30 years old, I’ve returned to the world of academia after more than 10 years of putting my education on hold.
With a deep passion for teaching and learning, I am dedicated to exploring innovative educational methods to create learning experiences that are both effective and engaging. I have a particular interest in curriculum development and language education, aiming to bridge the timeless wisdom of Buddhist teachings with practical, real-world knowledge. Through education, I hope to share the beauty and depth of Buddhist scriptures, as well as practical insights, with others. My goal is to help those who are open to learning not only expand their intellectual horizons but also nurture their souls, guiding them toward a more peaceful and fulfilling life.
This journey has taught me that it’s never too late to learn as long as we are still breathing, still have the wisdom to grow, and still possess the openness to expand our hearts and minds. To me, education is not just about imparting knowledge—it’s about sharing, connecting, and spreading positive values to the community. I hope we can work together to create something beautiful for ourselves and for others. Thank you for this meaningful connection—may our paths continue to cross in kindness and purpose!
