Positive Classroom Environments

Positive Classroom Environments will concentrate on the role of classroom organization and behavior management in flourishing positive instructing and learning environments. The impact of the physical spaces, transitions, procedures, norms, and expectations on managing behavior will be explored. Fostering communication and social skills and developing a collaborative relationship between the instructors and learners will be considered. Alternative strategies for managing routine and disruptive discipline problems while also facilitating learning environments where students are willing to take risks and learn from mistakes will be discussed.
