The New Pāli Course

The New Pāḷi Course is composed by Prof. A. P. Buddhadatta, Maha Nayaka Thera. “The method adopted is the modern one of teaching the languages through composition. The lessons are well graded and practical. This supplies a long felt want… We should recommend it for use in schools as an introduction to the study of Pali.”

The New Pāḷi Course includes three parts with grammatical points and exercises, corresponding to 3 levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced.

• Reading and completing each exercise in the first part of this book respectively to acquire basic Pāḷi Grammar.
• Reading and completing each exercise in the second part of this book respectively to acquire intermediate Pāḷi Grammar.
• Reading and completing each exercise in the third part of this book respectively to acquire advanced Pāḷi Grammar.
